Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have been widely deployed all over the world. However, the energy saving problem remains one of the key issue in WSNs. And the imbalance of energy dissipation between nodes makes the things every worse. In this paper, the authors propose a novel structure for WSNs to solve the problem. The improved K-means algorithm, aggregation tree and chord master-slave technique are applied to establish the structure. They compare the energy dissipation, query energy consumption and query latency of their model with LEACH and LEACH-D.
