Mobile Ad-hoc NETwork (MANET) security has become the primary focus of research efforts in ad hoc communication environment. Dynamic nature of MANET results into unique and considerable difficulties of providing security. Many security schemes have been proposed to protect the communication in an ad hoc network. This paper includes detailed analysis on secured extension to AODV i.e. Secure Ad-hoc On demand Distance Vector protocol (SAODV) and TSAODV. In this paper, the authors provide an overview of various attributes, dataset, key parameters and methods adopted for vulnerability analysis of MANET protocols to identify unresolved threats to the algorithm, such as malicious node misbehavior, resources depletion, and resources consumption, Denial of service and replay attacks.
