The Small and Medium Enterprises play a significant part in Zimbabwe's economy. Over the last two decades Data Warehousing (DW) has evolved to become a foundational cornerstone of enterprise decision support. However, prior research shows that Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), in particular, lag behind in the proliferation of DW. In this paper, the authors examine DW adoption within SMEs of Zimbabwe. They explore perceived benefits and challenges in their effort to implement DW. A survey was conducted via an online questionnaire. The results illustrate some benefits of a data warehouse, which is a single repository of subject-oriented historical data that is organized to be accessible in a form readily acceptable for analytical processing activities.
