BPMN is an emerging standard for process modeling and has the potential to become a process specification language to capture and exchange process models between stakeholders and tools. Ongoing research and standardization efforts target a formal behavioural semantics and metamodel. Yet it is hardly specified how humans are embedded in the processes and how the work distribution among human resources can be defined. This paper addresses these issues by identifying the required model information based on the Workflow Resource Patterns.
