In this paper, the authors propose the Optimal Energy Balance Strategy (OEBS), in which they aim to optimal the network lifetime in wireless sensor networks. They firstly propose an optimal number of coronas to divide the circle network into many coronas and present an energy efficient formulation to determine the number of nodes in each corona. And then they employ the number of nodes and area of corona to determine the radius of regular hexagonal cell. They employ regular hexagonal cell architecture to deploy nodes. Finally, they propose an energy balance routing protocol to balance the energy consumption in each corona.
