Cloud is a type of parallel and distributed system consisting of a collection of inter-connected and virtualized computers that are dynamically provisioned and presented as one or more unified computing resources based on service-level agreements established through negotiation between the service provider and consumers. Resource scheduling, which is a part of resource management is an important process that takes place in storage cloud which falls under IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) cloud, so that the available resources may be properly allocated to the requesting tasks in a best fit manner so that no resources are wasted.
