Database compression and decompression is a susceptible problem in the database framework. Database compression is widely used in data management to improve the performance and save storage space. When the users have large amounts of data, the cost of the storage subsystem can easily exceed the cost of the user's data server. Over the last decades, improvements in CPU speed have outpaced improvements in main memory and disk access rates by orders of magnitude, enabling the use of database compression techniques to improve the performance of database systems.
