Analysis of CPW fed T-Shaped Patch Antenna for WLAN Applications
The rapid advancement of wireless communications has generated a great interest in low cost, lighter in weight, compact microstrip antennas. In this paper, a multi-frequency dual T-shaped CPW fed patch antenna is proposed. The antenna is simulated using AWR simulation software. The proposed antenna designed for wireless communication in 1.3/2.4/5.2GHz frequency bands. Simulated results for bandwidths and radiation characteristics are presented and discussed. It was found that proposed radiating structure has three distinct resonating modes 1.3GHz, 3.6GHz, and 5.4GHz which are suitable for wireless communications. The antenna performance has successfully been improved.
