Appraising Employee Performance

Performance Appraisal (PA) can be seen both as an evaluation tool and development tool. PA reviews past performance of the employees, rates them according to their accomplishments in the same, and points out towards the skill gaps prevalent in the employees. In this way, PA helps the employees to improve their future performance. The paper examines issues involved in PA.
