Assessing Business Model Concepts with Taxonomical Research Criteria
The business model construct has received increasing attention from academics. The concept has been approached from a number of perspectives and in conclusion, past studies have arrived in conceptualization of various different alternative models. This search for unified definitional grounds has inevitably resulted in confusion, which should not be viewed as a weakness, but rather as an indication that the field has advanced in its scientific inquiry. The field also shows indications of convergence in the basic definitions and functions of its core concepts.
