Software reliability is one of the most important characteristics of software quality and is very much essential for producing reliable software systems. The reliability of software can be monitored efficiently using Statistical Process Control (SPC). It helps to identify when the failure takes place during the software development process. In this paper, the authors proposed a control mechanism based on the cumulative observations of the time domain data using the mean value function of Pareto type II distribution, which is based on Non-Homogenous Poisson Process (NHPP).
