A wireless sensor network consists of spatially distributed autonomous sensor devices to monitor physical and environmental conditions such as temperature, sound, pressure etc., and to cooperatively pass their data through the network to the destination. A WSN is built of nodes where each node is connected to several sensors. When data transmission from one node to another, some of the nodes may get failure due to environmental conditions. Because of this failure the network is divided into multiple connection components. The disruption of connectivity often referred to as \"Network cut\". In this paper, the authors proposed a cut detection algorithm which allows every node to detect when connectivity to a specially designated node has been lost.
