Bandwidth Allocation Algorithms for VOIP Networks: An Experimentation System and Evaluation of Created Algorithm

In this paper, the authors present how to allocate bandwidth in VoIP networks, how to set up a connection, and which links in the network should be used. Common are algorithms which find Shortest Path First (SPF) - like OSPF in Internet network. They create a new algorithm which takes into consideration two parameters, including maximum throughput bound. Using the created experimentation system they show that the algorithm can reduce the number of rejected calls and in some cases, the total cost of the calls.
