Belief Propagation Decoder for LDPC Codes Based on VLSI Implementation
Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes are most widely used Error Correcting Codes (ECCs). Because of their popularity they are used in several applications such as the Digital Video Broadcasting over Satellite (DVB-S2), wireless local area network (IEEE 802.11n) and metropolitan area network (802.16e). These codes are used to transmit a message over noisy transmission channel. LDPC codes are constructed using sparse parity check matrices. LDPC codes provide very fast encoding and decoding algorithms. In this paper, low density parity check decoder is implemented using Verilog technique.
