Big Data seems to be the new buzzword in the tech circle today. But what is it exactly? And what does it mean for sales and marketing teams? According to Google CEO Eric Schmidt, every two days, the world produces the amount of data equivalent to all the data from the beginning of civilization up to 2003, or almost five exabytes. This leads to the problem of what do the user do with this new data that is unstructured, semi-structured and structured? How do they use this data covert it to information and then business wisdom? The user need to do this in a way that is cost effective.
