Advances in the field of information technology make information security an inseparable part of it. In order to deal with security, authentication plays an important role i.e. verifying that the user is who they claims to be. The authors can authenticate an identity in three ways: by something the user knows (such as a password or personal identification number), something the user has (a security token or smart card) or something the user is (a physical characteristic, such as a fingerprint, called a biometric. Biometrics ensures that the rendered services are accessed only by a legitimate user and not anyone else.
