DRM, (Digital Rights Management), in its current form exists as a method for providing compensation for content creators. It is a necessary component for the success of an ecosystem that relies on the creation, delivery, and consumption of content. DRM is intended to address the challenges that arise when working with content that can be perfectly replicated indefinitely. DRM has gained negative attention as a form of control or restriction on the use of content. DRM technology is typically associated with centralized authorities and control over use of assets. Current implementations of DRM (e.g. iTunes, Netflix, Amazon, etc.) use what can be described geometrically as an \"Eccentric Model\".
