Two of the most widely used protocols of the TCP / IP suit are HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) and DHCP (Dynamic Host Control Protocol). Both of them operate in the client server environment. HTTP is widely used protocol for web based communication and is used for majority of the intranet and internet based applications. Whereas DHCP is used for allocation and management of IP addresses to the individual clients. In this paper, the authors are trying to mix the best of the both worlds and develop a new web based mechanism which could be implemented in intranet and internet environment.
