Ad hoc parallel data processing has emerged to be one of the modest applications for Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) clouds. For the large amount of submitting jobs the allocated compute resources may be inadequate and this increases the processing time and cost. This paper gives an overview about the data processing framework; batch harmonizing nephele architecture explicitly exploits the dynamic resource allocation that runs on clouds following IaaS abstraction for task scheduling and execution. Thus here with prospects and challenges for competent parallel data processing in cloud reduces the time and cost.
