The main concern about Peer-To-Peer (P2P) routing protocol is that queries need to reach larger number of peers to locate the target file resulting in huge message overhead. In case of the agent based searching technique, the agent is required to visit every node in search of resources. The transmission of the updated results to every node results in high overhead and delay. In this paper, the authors propose a cluster based intelligent semantic query routing technique in peer-to-to networks. The Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) technique is used for query routing and relevance ranking methodology selects the peers with good accuracy. Since searching of resources is limited to cluster heads, there is drastic reduction in the overhead and network delay.
