"Mobile ad-hoc network is a dynamic topology network of Autonomous nodes where nodes route the packet through other nodes with the help of either proactive or reactive routing. Routes comprises of links which is nothing but the wireless connectivity between two nodes. Such links varies in the network due to change in node's position, due to mobility and congestion in the network which results in packet rate variations in both data and control packets. Change in link quality affects the data transmission and reception rates at the nodes. More variability results in more jitter or changed performances."
