Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is one of the most widely used technologies in today's world. It is recognized as a reliable and cost effective solution for wireless high speed data connectivity. THE Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs) working at IEEE 802.11a employs the higher frequency band 5.15-5.35GHz band and 5.725-5.825GHz band. Due to its higher cost, 802.11a is usually found on business networks. It is different from country to country. In the United States, the frequency ranges from 5.15 - 5.35 GHz and from 5.725 - 5.825 GHz, while in Europe, the frequency covers 5.15 - 5.35 GHz and 5.470 - 5.725 GHz, respectively.
