A Distributed DataBase (DDB) accesses the data from different sites to satisfy a query. Distributed DataBase System (DDBS) query optimization algorithms endeavor to reduce the quantity of data being transferred and is desirable optimization criterion. The distributed query optimization is known to have several problems which are related to the cost of execution. This paper deals with the issues regarding response time in the distributed networks. The allocation of the data fragments provides the results to the query which affects the cost of computation and communication.
