It is the digital era; the people are living in where most of the communications and transactions are done through email. The availability and convenience of email can be easily misused by sending unwanted emails in bulk. Spam is used for various purposed like promotions, marketing or even security attacks. In any way it is an inconvenience and should be avoided. This paper aims at comparing various spam detection and classification algorithms. Here various attributes like precision, error rate and recall to compare these algorithms.
