Comparative Study of Next Generation High Speed Wireless Networks
The objective of this paper is to study the different hybrid wireless networks which are a combination of ad hoc wireless networks and cellular networks. The different techniques used in hybrid wireless networks are based on dedicated relay stations and host cum relay stations. From the paper it is found that different parameters considered for the design of a hybrid wireless network can be categorized on the basis of spectrum reusability, overlay, throughput enhancement and data forwarding system used which helps in reduced interference, extended coverage, increased reliability, etc. The hybrid wireless networks considered in this paper can be further extended or combined to optimize the network performance.
