The compression offers a means to reduce the cost of storage and increase the speed of transmission. Image compression is used to minimize the size in bytes of a graphics file without degrading the quality of the image. There are two types of image compression is present. The aim of this paper is based on the wavelet based image compression, using Neural Network, SPIHT, EZW & STW. While compressing the wavelet based images, these have shown good adaptability towards a wide range of data, while existing reasonable complexity. Spatial-orientation Tree Wavelet (STW) and Embedded Zero tree Wavelet (EZW) has been proposed as a method for effective and efficient embedded image coding.
