Computer Security: A Survey of Methods and Systems
In this paper, the authors have reviewed studies which survey all aspects of computer security including attackers and attacks, software bugs and viruses as well as different intrusion detection systems and ways to evaluate such systems. The aim was to develop a survey of security related issues which would provide adequate information and advice to newcomers to the field as well as a good reference guide for security professionals. As computer systems become more and more important to their every day lives it is necessary to protect them from actions that attempt to compromise the reliability, confidentiality or availability of such systems.
