Multihop Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) has been highlighted as the key technology to energize the growth of internet penetration due to its greater flexibility and mobility to users. All the radio nodes in the WMNs are organized in mesh topology with the principle of multichip to resiliently extend the coverage of the network. Thus, using the idea of multichip WMNs the last mile internet coverage is widely extended. However, the challenge is arises among wireless research community in designing an efficient WMNs to provides higher throughput with utmost lower latency. In a wireless communication, Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol plays an important role in achieving higher throughput by efficiently facilitates the limited communication bandwidth of wireless channel among the radio nodes.
