The increase in various types of applications such as interactive, multimedia, voice, or data on portable devices leads to a miscellaneous traffic load in network. The availability of different network generations and ad-hoc networks also give birth to a miscellaneous traffic in the network. The bandwidth requirement of such type of traffic is variable. This leads to congestion in the network during rush hours. Admission Control (AC) algorithm helps to prevent congestion by restricting the admission of call in network according to some admission criteria. The proposed design will define the admission criteria depending on total number of ongoing calls in a cell.
