It begins with an explanation of IP addressing. The report discusses the two routing protocols: Routing Information Protocol (RIP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) into great detail. Routing is the heartbeat of the Internet. Several routing protocols exist now-a-days but the most common ones are Routing Information Protocol (RIP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF). This paper is to investigate the consequences of deploying RIP and OSPF simultaneously on an IPv6 network and to analyze Quality of Service (QoS).
