Energy-efficiency in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is always a hot research topic. The authors address on this problem from cooperative game theory with a novel perspective. In this paper, they propose a cost sharing game model for clustering in WSNs. Potential Cluster Heads (CHs) share cost of common affairs in clustering, which reduces the burden of single CH and partly achieves load balance through CH coalitions. In the cost sharing game-based CH selection scheme, they mainly discuss the rule of CH selection and fair allocation of cost.
