Though most IT decision makers seem to understand the overall benefits delivered by the cloud, the debate between deploying a public, private or hybrid cloud continues to be a source of confusion for many executives. In a public cloud the client's infrastructure or applications are hosted at the cloud provider's data center or data centers and is delivered via the internet. The private cloud provides the same benefits of the public cloud, but uses dedicated, private hardware. The computing infrastructure is hosted on a private platform that is not shared with other organizations.
