Data Mining in Cloud Storages

The cloud computing is a rapid growing technology. It is growing at an annual rate of 36% and is estimated to have a market size of 19.5 Billion $ by the year 2016. The storage of data is moving from personal hard disks to the cloud, where the amount of data is ever increasing. In this paper, the authors look at the challenges of mining the data in the cloud storages. They then analyze how the streaming K-means and the D stream algorithm can be used to effectively mine the data in the cloud storages.
