Now-a-days, all the digital data communication channel adopts the data protection machine for protecting the digital data during transmission or while storing the data in the storage devices such as the solid state semiconductor memory or magnetic storing devices. The machine sometimes contains only the error correcting machine or sometimes contains only the endecripting machine. Here the authors propose the error protecting and endecripting processor design based on the reed Solomon code arithmetic and logic unit. This machine functions for the GF(28) elements but works in the GF(22) field using subfield transform. Definitely The machine works very fast and The cost of the machine is very cheap because of the transform into the very simple GF(22) field whose number of elements is only 4.
