While passwords may be stolen, guessed, or forgotten and tokens may be lost or stolen, biometric authentication systems attempt to link authentication directly to the user. The oldest and widely used form of biometric identification is the fingerprints. It has been widely used in many applications. Though much progress and research has been made in fingerprint based authentication systems, the performance is still low. This paper is to propose a system for performing decision tree based authentication using two fingerprints.
