Design, Analysis and Optimization of a Microstrip Patch Antenna at Frequency 3.55Ghz for WiMAX Application
In recent years, microstrip antennas have been one of the most innovative topics in antenna theory and design. In this paper, the authors introduce some of the basic concepts of patch antennas. The main focus will be on optimizing of dimensions of patch antenna for WiMAX application with resonance frequency of 3.55GHz. This design is simulated with HFSS program that based on finite element method. This method gives good impedance bandwidth of the order of 3.94%, a gain of 7.49dB, reflection coefficient of -47.23dB and a standing wave ratio equal to 1.
