Design & Analysis of 24.5 GHz Ring & 135 GHz LC VCO
In this paper, the authors describe the design and analysis of a CMOS Ring & LC Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCO) 25GHz & 135GHz respectively in a 90nm Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS). CMOS Oscillators are an integral part of Phase Locked Loops (PLL) as they serve as the heart of PLL as Voltage VCO. The two most used topologies of oscillator circuit design are Ring & LC Oscillator. For increasing demand of bandwidth and places stringent requirements on the spectral purity of oscillators. Considering the scope of the VCO this work is devoted to the designing of an efficient VCO which can be employed in PLL. In this paper, the CMOS based fast oscillator circuit has been designed.
