Design and Analysis of Wideband Modified Circular Patch Microstrip Antennas for Multiple Band Operation

This paper presents the design and analysis of a modified wideband circular patch microstrip antenna to enhance the impedance bandwidth of a conventional circular patch. An soft Designer V2 is employed to analyze the performance of the proposed antenna structure with single coaxial feed as well as with microstrip feed at different positions of this modified structure. The proposed antenna shows dual 10dB impedance-bandwidth of about 38% and 15% having center frequencies at 4GHz and 12GHz respectively with coaxial feed.
