Device drivers developed for applications such as fuel injection, ignition, crank etc. are normally tested using Hardware-In-Loop (HIL) setups and require enormous amount of investment and time for configuring and debugging of HIL setups. To overcome the difficulty in controllability, configurability and fault injection in the real silicon setups, there is a need to provide simulation platform for running the engine control software. Infineon provides simulation platform for running the engine control software as it is run on the real silicon.
