Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have gained worldwide attention in recent years. Unlike traditional networks, a WSN has its own design and resource constraints. Resource constraints include a limited amount of energy, short communication range, low bandwidth and limited processing and storage in each node. However, the current connect number, sampling rate and signal types of sensors are generally restricted by the device. In this paper, to solve these problems, a new method is proposed to design and implementation of network chip for wireless and wired peripherals with serial communication, in which Filed Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is adopted as the core controller.
