Current authentication schemes suffer many weaknesses. Textual passwords are widely used; but this textual passwords easy to break and vulnerable to dictionary attacks or brute force attacks. Available authentication schemes face many problems. Graphical passwords face lack of space. Smart cards or tokens can be lost or prone to theft. Many biometric authentication schemes have been proposed but users tend to resist using that because of their intrusiveness on their privacy. In this paper, the authors describe the method for implementing connectionless approach for stronger authentication. The proposed grid-pin scheme is two-factor authentication scheme which is totally based on knowledge based authentication scheme.
