In this paper, the authors present the design of a transformer-less, hybrid power generation system employing solar and wind energy. The solar energy conversion section consists of a PhotoVoltaic (PV) array, a boost converter, an H-bridge inverter, a transformer-less inverter switching circuit and a T-LCL filter. The wind energy conversion section consists of a wind turbine, a permanent magnet synchronous machine, a three phase diode rectifier, a boost converter, an H-bridge inverter, a transformer-less inverter switching circuit and a T-LCL filter.
