ARP cache poisoning, a serious threat affects LAN Community by spoofing the sender's original Identity. The identity here refers to the sender's MAC address. ARP cache poisoning otherwise known as ARP spoofing is a technique in which attacker fakes Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) messages onto a local area network intended to associate the attacker's MAC address with the IP address of another host diverting any traffic meant for that IP address sent to the attacker instead.
