Design of Adaptive Feedforward Linear Power Amplifier for Wireless Communication
The performance of a wireless communication system depends on amplifier's nonlinearity. Adaptive feed-forward amplifier implementation for wideband communication system and a step-by-step design of power amplifier at 2.4GHz are introduced. The Feedforward linearization and adaptive feedforward technique is a well-known power amplifier linearization method to reduce out-of-band distortion that can approach wideband signals with high efficiency. By using adaptive feedforward system the Inter-Modulation Distortion (IMD) for two tone harmonic balance has been reduced. The adaptive feedforward system is implemented and simulated using Advanced Design System (ADS) tool.
