This method is chosen to investigate how the parasitic patch configuration can improve the bandwidth of a typical microstrip antenna. A coaxial feed microstrip patch antenna with parasitic elements has been presented. The proposed antenna has also been suitable for WLAN and WiMAX applications because the antenna is resonating within 5.22-6.27GHz frequency band. The Rogers RT/Duroid 5880 material of dielectric constant 2.2 and thickness of 1.6 mm have been used as the substrate of the antenna. The substrate and ground size has been considered as 70 mm x 70 mm.
