With the advancement of wireless communication; multiband antennas are in demand. Due to such antennas the complexity and cost of hardware decreases. Dual-band micro strip patch antenna with quarter-wave micro strip feed is designed. The original frequency is 2.4GHz. The designed antenna resonates at 2.2 and 4.7GHz. A slot is used in the middle to decrease the current flow and to reduce the VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio), return loss. The antenna is simulated using High Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS).
