Design of Routing Protocol For MANET Through Energy Optimization Technique
A typical ad hoc network consists of nodes that are usually battery operated devices such as laptops, PDAs or sensor nodes that come together and spontaneously form a network. Energy conservation is a critical issue as the lifetime of these nodes depends on the life of the system. Research has been carried out to conserve energy at various levels i.e., at the hardware level, operating system, application level. The authors propose Efficient Power Aware Routing (EPAR), a new power aware routing protocol that increases the network lifetime of MANET.
