Design of V-Slotted Trapezoidal Patch Antenna in WI-MAX Band using Optimized Feed Location Method

In this paper, the authors present a design of trapezoidal microstrip antenna with v-slot and experimentally studied. Trapezoidal patch is designed on a FR4 substrate of thickness 0.6mm and relative permittivity of 4.4 and mounted above the ground plane at a height of 6mm. It is a narrow band antenna with stable pattern characteristics such as gain, VSWR and S11 parameters .The design technology is achieved by embedding two narrow slots in v-shape on the microstrip antenna and placing a single feed. In one more iteration more slits along with v-slot is also introduced.
