Power aware routing protocols are consistently cited as efficient solutions for ad hoc and sensor networks routing. However, there is not a consistent approach to define the energy related cost metrics that are used to guide the routing protocol performance. Nodes in a Mobile Ad hoc NETwork (MANET) have limited battery power. Power consumption of network interfaces can be significant. In a MANET, if a mobile node continuously transmitting the data packets, more battery power consumed by that node, obviously that node energy level is insufficient for data packet transmission and becomes critical node or dead node and result is connection failure in network.
