Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) is the attack to pollute the network. The attacker creates a large amount of packet to the particular system. DoS attacks synchronized by a group of attackers will lead to Distributed DoS. The packets are sending by using the compromised computers. Which are targeted systems does not response to all the packets because of the DDOS attacks. In this paper, it is proposed a novel statically method for DDoS attacks that is based on anomaly detection. Statistical techniques are used to classify packets followed by rule set model which helps in improving proposed system performance.
